Thank You Cards for the Bridal Shower!

Saturday, April 21, 2018

These invitations were sent out a while ago. I just now realized I never posted them on my blog so here is what the invitations looked like:

My middle son is getting married in July and I’m having the Bridal Shower for my future daughter-in-law next weekend. My son is in the Marine’s and he is wearing his dress blues so the Wedding Colors are Navy and Grey.

I thought the Romantic Journey Prints were perfect for the Bridal Shower Invitations.

I had to coordinate my Thank You cards with the Invitations right? I had 2 sheets of 12 X 12 Romantic Journey Prints left and had to get 24 cards out of those 2 sheets otherwise I’d have to purchase another package.

So I set to work yesterday with my 2 sheets of printed papers and came up with a couple of ideas using all the printed paper up and YES, I did get my 24 Thank You cards!

This was my first one using Butter Cream card stock for the base and cutting it 4 1/4″ X 9 3/4″; scoring at 4 1/4″.

I cut my Romantic Journey Prints 3 3/4″ X 3 3/4″ (for a total of 18 pieces) and attached it to the top on a piece of Denim Days 4″ X 4″.

The little strip at the bottom was a left over piece; attached to Denim Days. So a little different fold.

This turned out pretty cute but I wouldn’t have enough printed paper for the bottom strips; so back to thinking.

The sentiment is from the Everyday Script Bundle and has a coordinating Die.

This was the next card I created. It is a 4 1/4″ X 4 1/4″ card.

I decided this was probably my best option and set to work making 19 more of them. So now I had 20 cards and needed 4 more. I had some strips left over from my invitations so decided to cut them up into 1″ X 3 3/4″ strips.

I matted the strips on some Denim Days card stock and then attached it to my Butter Cream card base 4 1/4″ X 4 1/4″.

So happy I got all 24 Thank You cards done and ready to go! They are just the perfect size to say Thanks for the Gift!
