I’m actually not with my family this year as I’m in Venice, Italy with some Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  We will be boarding a cruise for the Greek Isle on Sunday.   I was lucky enough to be asked by my friend Linda Bauwin if I would like to join her on the cruise and I said absolutely!

I looked all through the Stampin’ Up! catalog for something I could use for a 4th of July card and I didn’t have anything that would make one.  So I decided to use my Daisy Lane Bundle small daisy for my Blue part and made stripes with Red and White card stock.

I really like how it turned out; pretty cute if I do say so myself.  I even showed it to Bill and he thought it looked pretty nice as well.

The Daisy was stamped 3 times in Night of Navy ink and then punched out with the Medium Daisy punch.  I then popped it up on the Night of Navy square.

To finish off the Daisy I added the Clear Faceted Gem to the center.

To create my stripes I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I attached the Night of Navy square to the upper left hand corner first and then went to my stripes.

I cut strips of the Real Red card stock and started at the bottom edge and went up from there.  The Whisper White stripes is the card stock I attached the Real Red Stripes and the Night of Navy square to; they are not individual Whisper White stripes.  I then attached that piece to another piece of Whisper White card stock and then attached it to my card front using dimensionals.
