This fun fold birthday card with a twist using the Flowering Fields Bundle was a bit of a challenge but, I do like the final results. I will also say that the Windmill Fields dies are not available to order at the moment but keep checking; it is scheduled to be back in stock around March 7th.  It is the Windmill Fields dies that aren’t available right now but you can get the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and the Flowering Tulips Bundle.

This was the first time I tried this fun fold card and it really isn’t that difficult but getting the designer series paper to be in the right direction and size was a bit of a challenge.  I found the instructions and video tutorial for this fun fold Twisted Card TLC886 on Splitcoaststampers website.

You have a couple of options when finishing off your card.  You can have a pocket on the front as well as on the inside.

I decided to cover up the pocket on my card front but kept the pocket on the inside to hold a gift card.

The sentiment is part of the Flowering Tulips bundle but I used the Tasteful  Labels dies to die cut and mat the sentiment.

I enjoy creating fun fold cards and I’m always on the lookout for something new.  Will I create this fun fold birthday card again?  Yes, I think I will; now that I have the concept down; but I do think I’ll stick to a simpler Designer Series Paper than one with a pattern.  The card base is super simple to create and I’m sure with a bit of practice the Designer Series Paper will go quick and easy as well.
