Today I’m going to show you my repurposing paper scraps using the October Nest of Winter Paper Pumpkin Kit. When you have completed your kits do you ever have left-over pieces and think what should I do with them. If you are like me you don’t want to through out those left-over pieces, so today I’m going to show you how to reuse paper scraps.

If you are not a paper pumpkin subscriber you may be thinking what was repurposed from the paper pumpkin kit?  The Nest of Winter kit had 10 beautiful trifold cards that you created and each card had a window piece that you popped out of the front of the card.   Today’s cards feature those punched out window pieces from the card fronts.  Five of those pieces were the shaded spruce rectangles and five were the curved top pieces.  To see the finished Paper Pumpkin cards see this post HERE.

Let’s take a closer look at repurposing paper scraps from the October Nest of Winter Paper Pumpkin kit.

I created 5 cards just like this using the left-over shaded spruce rectangle pieces.  All I did was cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 4″ X 5 1/4″ and attached it to a Shaded Spruce card base.  I attached my shaded spruce rectangle and on a strip of Basic White cardstock stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment using Shaded Spruce ink.  I attached that to my card front and then using the Winterly Tree Tops dies and the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper, I die cut the birds from the paper and attached them to my card front.  Finally I attached a few of the Earth Tones Shimmer gems.

I created my 5 oval topped repurposing paper scraps in the exact same way as the rectangle ones except replacing the rectangle pieces with the oval pieces.

On the inside for all the cards I just added a piece of Basic White cardstock 4″ X 5 1/4″ and die cut a single bird from the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper and attached it to the inside bottom right-hand corner.

Both cards were created the exact same way by just repurposing the left-over paper scraps for each set of cards.  What is your take on repurposing paper scraps?  Is this something you do as well with your left-over pieces?
