A Memorial Day Remembrance Featuring The Stitched Stars Dies Stampin’ Up!

Today’s card is a memorial day remembrance to Thank all those who served our country.

I decided to use the Stitched Stars Dies Stampin’ Up! to create a quick and easy patriotic card for this Memorial Day. I have a son and son-in-law who both served in the Marines and I just want to thank all those who have served or are serving a huge Thank You for your service!

When I was thinking about the card for today’s post I had my Technique Tuesday technique in mind using the strips of card stock and thought what the heck I think I’ll use that same technique for my patriotic card. It’s pretty simple. Just use strips of card stock and add an embellishment(s). You can do this technique for SO many different occasions and it turns out fantastic every time!

This Stars and Stripes card is super easy with the Stitched Stars Dies from Stampin’ Up! I used the adhesive sheets on the backside of the Night Of Navy card stock so it was quick and easy to attach the detailed swirls with stars die cut piece to the card front. I used the little stars that punched out of this detailed piece to the inside of my card and with the adhesive sheet on the backside they attached inside just as quick; no glueing no fuss!

I did pop up the big star with dimensionals as well as this whole piece to the card base. I like the dimension and the fact that I wasn’t going to mail it but hand deliver it makes it even better. I didn’t have to worry about added additional postage because so many of my elements were raised up.

Yes, I had to add a bit of bling! I like the look of the Rhinestone on the large star; just 1 that’s all it needs.
