For this week’s One Sheet Wonder Cards I used the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper and used just one sheet of the 12 X 12 print to create 4 gorgeous cards.  This pattern is super easy and uses up the entire piece of designer series paper so no left over pieces to worry about.  Three of these cards have the same cutting dimensions but each is adhered differently for a different way of opening.  You decide which direction you want your card front to go, create them all the same or each one differently as I did.

Now Let’s Dive Into These 4 Fabulous Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper Cards:

Card #1 features the Fresh Freesia card base and the sentiment is from the Go To Greetings.  I know you’ve heard it before but this sentiment stamp set is a must have in my stamp room.  It has the perfect sized sentiments for so many different framelit dies and punches.  Plus, each has a different font so you have lots of choices.  The ink color I used on this sentiment piece is the Pretty Peacock  ink.

Each of the first 3 cards in the video pull out in a different direction.  Each card is cut with the exact same measurements the only difference is how you open them up.  For this card you would pull the “mini” card up as shown below:

You have the center section to write or stamp your sentiment.  I love these accordion type fun fold cards in any direction it is beautiful.

Let’s move on to Card #2:

This card base was done in the Lemon Lime Twist and the sentiment is stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink.

Why do I love to use Designer Series Paper you might be asking?   Look at this gorgeous print!  These prints are the focal point to your cards so there is no need to do much stamping besides the sentiments and you really don’t want to cover up too much of the print with that either so just a small little something is all they need.  I like to position my sentiment in spots where there may be a break in the print so I’m not covering anything up.

For Card #2 the mini accordion card fold down not up like the first card.  The measurements are the exact same you just change the direction that you want your card to open in.

Now for Card #3 I totally changed the direction of the whole card going now vertically instead of Horizontally.  This Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper print really works pretty much in any direction you choose to go.  The card base on this card is the Pretty Peacock and so is the ink for the sentiment.  I also decided to go across the full accordion card with my little strip under the sentiment.   This little extra strip of cardstock under the sentiment pieces adds just a little bit of spice to the cards I think.

Now this cards accordion card piece folds out to the left, but you could also make it swing out to the right if you wanted too.   Lots of decisions for these fun fold cards but I wanted to show you all the ways you could open them.  Create them all the same or each one differently, what way is your favorite?  Which color card bases are your favorites?

Card #4 Great Way to Use Those Left Over Strips:

No fun fold here just a beautiful card using up those left over paper strips.  This layout will work for any of those little strips of paper we all have laying around.  It is time to grab them and create a pile of cards with strips!  The measurements for this card are as follows:  Card base Sweet Sorbet 4 1/4″ X 11″ scored at 5 1/2″, Lemon Lime Twist 4″ X 5 1/2″ and the Masterfully Made paper strips are 1 1/4″ X 4″.  For the inside a piece of basic white 4″ X 5 1/4″ with any designer series paper strip or stamp a flower image from your stamp sets.

Measurements for Cards 1 – 3:

Card Base: 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″
Accordion Card: 4 1/4″ X 9″ scored at 3″ and at 6″
Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper: 4″ X 5 1/4″, 2 3/4″ X 4″
Basic White: 2 3/4″ X 4″

I probably should have started with the measurements but there you have them.  Just download the One Sheet Wonder Cards Pattern found in this article and with these measurements you are all set to give this One Sheet Wonder technique a try.  Use whatever designer series papers you have on hand.
