Before I get into today’s stamping techniques?  I want to give you a little back story on how this card came about.

I had to watch my two granddaughter’s yesterday as my daughter is going to have another baby in 6 weeks; Oh and IT’s A BOY!  When the girls arrived Sophia gave me this “Card” she made for me.

She said, I’m sorry grandma I don’t have any stamps so I just drew you a rainbow picture.   OMG!  How could I have not thought of this before!  I have the perfect Birthday Gift for Sophia!  I believe her Mom was the same age as she is when I gave her this gift!  What is it?  A Bunch of Stampin’ Up! Stamps, Inks and Paper of course!  My daughter HATED the gift; but I know Sophia will LOVE IT!  She loves to make and color rainbows; so today’s card will make her smile that’s for sure!

You can’t get much more rainbow colors than this card.  I used my Stampin’ Up! Markers to color in the stripes on the Silver & Gold Designer Series Papers; the gold foil lines help to keep the colors in their respective lines.  This will be a great paper pack to give to Sophia with a package of Crayola Markers.

The Dancing Hippo reminds me of Sophia too as she is always doing flips or cartwheels.  Her favorite color is Purple; so that was my main color for matting everything.

To create the fun rainbow sentiment I used my markers to color each word in the different colors. The Sentiment is from the A Grandkid stamp set.

So there you have a couple of different stamping techniques on this card using Markers.  I colored in my stripes and used it on the sentiment to create the rainbow of colors.

Each print in the Silver & Gold Designer Series Papers pack has a nice foil embossed image which will show through any ink that you apply to the paper.
