Today I’m going to unleash your creativity with the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set and the Ladybug Builder Punch.  I thought it was time to break out an older stamp set and coordinating punch and show you just what you can do with supplies you probably already have in your stamp room.  I’ve also used a different spin on the pull out peek-a-boo fun fold.  I will show you in the video found below in this article the original version and then I will show you my new spin on these fun fold cards.

Materials Needed

To bring these fun and playful cards to life, you’ll need a few materials on hand. Firstly, you’ll need the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set and the Ladybug Builder Punch, which are the stars of the show. Additionally, you’ll need the Stylish Shapes Dies, Designer Series Paper I used the 2022 – 2024 In Color Designer Series Paper from this new annual catalog.  You will also need the coordinating In Colors cardstock, inks, adhesive, a paper trimmer, and your bone folder. To add some extra flair to your cards, you can also include embellishments like the coordinating In Color Pearls.  With these materials at the ready, you’ll be well-prepared to follow along with the step-by-step instructions and unleash your creativity.

This card would be the original way of doing the open pull out peek-a-boo card.  I’ve done this card before using other materials and stamp sets but today I thought I’d bring in the Hello Ladybug stamp set and recreate it and then show you another way of doing this card using a different sized card base.   Once you have created these cards I’m sure you’ll have a hard time deciding which way you like best.  You will also begin to think of other stamp sets that you already have on hand that will work with this fun fold.

This is your traditional 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ card base scored at 4 1/4″.  This is the typical way of creating this type of fun fold card.  When I tell you these cards are addicting to create I’m not kidding.  You will want to create these cards in all the 5 different In Colors or any color combination that you enjoy.

You may be drawn more to this card as it is more your traditional ladybug colors and I love the polka dot Sweet Sorbet In Color print with this card layout.   It is super sweet but it is also fun to create these cards in a variety of colors.  You will notice too on this card that I used the Go To Greetings stamp set as I wanted it to be a Birthday Card and the Hello Ladybug stamp set did not have a happy birthday sentiment in the stamp set.  As I’ve told you before I love the Go To Greetings for all the different fonts and sentiments in this one stamp set.  It truly is a must have in your stamping collection.

For the twist on this card instead of cutting my card base at 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ I cut it 4 1/4″ X 11″ and scored it at 5 1/2″.  The rest of the card is created the same.  You will find the PDF file and the Video Tutorial down below in this blog post.  As always if you use my PDF file I would appreciate a token order; any size order is appreciated, but if you would like a free mono-adhesive glue holder a min. $40.00 order is required and must use the host code.
