Want to know a quick and easy way to use those leftover designer series paper strips? Check out these 3 cards created with the Garden Walk paper. These are super quick to create and great for all different occasions.  With this paper pack I have created Birthday cards and Christmas cards and I’m sure they could be used for any occasion you have coming up.  The beauty of these paper strip cards is that they are quick to make and they use up those little bits of scraps we all have laying around and do not want to through away.

Now Let’s Dive in to Each of These Three Cards:

I started off with this Birthday card using the scraps I had left over from designing my club card.  Simply put all you need to do is cut your card base which in this case is Calypso Coral and cut the mat for the top, which is Basic White.  I then just add my strips across spacing them as I go until I have the desired look and then glue everything down.  The sentiments on the cards are from the coordinating Modern Garden Bundle.  This particular bundle has the Modern Label punch in the bundle and that was used on each of the cards.

The Calypso Coral ribbon and Blooming Pearls are all part of the Garden Walk suite of products from the mini catalog.  This whole product suite is on the retired list (except the Blooming Pearls), so if you love this paper pack or any of the coordinating products you will want to purchase them ASAP.  If you missed the retired list or the carry over list. you can click on my specials page (link at the bottom of this blog post or click HERE).

For this card I changed the position of the ribbon and moved it lower on the card front, but everything else is the exact same.  Each card was accessorized just a bit differently but the strips are all the same.  Just by changing the position and the accessorizes used can really change the look of the card.

The card base is Real Red and the mat is the Wild Wheat.  I could have used the Wild Wheat for my punched sentiment piece as well but I like the pop of white to really showcase the birthday sentiment.

The Red Ribbon is part of the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack from the Annual Catalog and the Pearls are from the Blooming Pearls pack.

The final card was using the paper to create a Christmas card.  The base of this card is Real Red and then the Mat is White which I think makes this whole card pop with the little white flowers from the designer series paper.   The sentiment is part of the Modern Garden Bundle and the ribbon is the same ribbon I used on the second card.  This time I didn’t add the ribbon across the front just tied a bow and attached it to the sentiment piece which is centered on the card front.

See how just a little subtle change here and there can change the look and feel to the cards.  Who would have thought Birthday Cards and Christmas Cards from the same paper pack?  Really like I said before this pack has a print for just about every occasion that you think you would need a print for.
