The tulip fields in Holland Michigan will soon be in full bloom! Tulip Time is just around the corner. If you haven’t even been to Holland Michigan during tulip time you are missing out. The tulips are all over the town and are just gorgeous.  This year Tulip Time is May 7 – May 15th.

Today’s Tulip fields card reminds me of Tulip Time.    I choose to use the retiring Timeless Tulips stamp set (which is already sold out but if you have it or the new tulip stamp set you can create this card) with the current Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper.

I created this card for a sketch caseing Facebook page that I am a part of.  Every Tuesday a new sketch is posted from any of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs.  Today’s case sketch was from the Mini Catalog.

In this sample they used the Flowering Tulips Bundle to create this card.

So for my card I combined some old with the new.  I also incorporated the brass butterflies from the Mini Catalog on my card as well.  I used the rectangle die from the Nature’s Thoughts Dies (on sale) to stamp my tulips on.

Are you up for the challenge?  Which stamp set(s) will you use.  You do not have to use the tulips you can use anything you have on hand.  The sketch is just an idea for a layout and helps to take the guess work out of your card layout.  I will turn to sketches when I am having a hard time coming up with card ideas.  I love sketches.
