Would you like to learn how to create this stunning cross fun fold card for your upcoming Easter celebrations? Well I have you covered with today’s card and the video tutorial below in this blog post.  If you joined me last night on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp” then you saw me create this card already and you have come to view these beautiful handmade Easter cards up close.

When I chose this particular paper pack for my March club I knew right away I wanted to create some Handmade Easter cards with it.  So, you will be seeing more Easter cards using this paper pack and the Faith Collection bundle; which is an online exclusive bundle, meaning it is only shown online and not in any of the Stampin’ Up! publications.

This was my prototype before I created the one in the video.  The only change I made to this card was instead of putting the Pecan Pie cardstock behind the gingham Floral Delight paper on the cross I went with Daffodil Delight.  I think I do prefer the Pecan Pie version as it brings out the cross a bit more; but maybe that is just my opinion.
The He is Risen sentiment is from the Faith Collection Bundle and I will be incorporating this bundle with the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper throughout the month.  This sentiment was stamped onto a die from the Iconic Imagery Dies; which are on the last chance list for $9.20!  That’s a great deal!  The Iconic Imagery Dies are part of the Iconic Imagery Bundle; which is also on the last chance list for $10.00; so in this case it is cheaper to purchase the stamp set and dies separately.
The 3 Marigolds on the front of the cross are hand cut from the Floral Delight paper pack and then popped up using dimensionals.  I’ve also added a few of the Antique Pearls to the sentiment strip and the flower centers.

The backside has a space for you to stamp or write your message and a few more marigolds hand cut from the edges of the printed Floral Delight paper pack.  I also used the same printed paper from the front and added it to the back as well.  If you really want to dress up the entire backside you can add the same paper pieces from the frontside to the backside as well.

Yes, this card does fold up flat and does fit inside the A2 envelopes.
I chose to use the Thick Basic White cardstock for my card base, which I just learned is being discontinued; so if you love it like I do, you might just want to stock up.   Also to note, the Basic White 40 sheets per package is being reconfigured to 24 sheets per pack and the price in the new catalog will be $14.00.  This is a substantial increase in pricing which will effect all the paper packs, not just Basic White and Very Vanilla.  All single-color cardstock pages will contain 24 sheets and assorted cardstock packages will contain 20 sheets, all priced at $14.00.  NOTE:  These prices and quantity changes will not go into effect until the new catalog is released.   So, now is a great time to stock up on your favorite paper packs.  There are going to be a few more changes when the new catalog is released; and I’ll pass the information on to you when I can.  I’m not sure yet how these increases in paper will effect my card club, I will know more once I see the new catalog.
