In today’s blog post, I’m excited to share the three creative pop-up card designs I created during last night’s One Sheet Wonder class! If you missed the live class, no worries—you’ll find the replay video linked below so you can catch up at your convenience.

I used just one 12″ x 12″ sheet from the Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper to create all three of these stunning pop-up fun fold cards. The first two designs share the same fold technique but feature different sentiments, while the third card showcases a completely different fold—each one with its own charm and style.

A Closer Look at These Easy Pop-Up Card Designs

Let’s begin with the Sympathy Card. While these aren’t the easiest to create emotionally, they’re so important to have on hand. I always like to keep a few ready because those moments often come unexpectedly.

Sympathy cards should be beautiful, comforting, and heartfelt—and a pop-up feature adds an uplifting surprise. It’s a simple way to show someone you’re thinking of them and hopefully bring a smile during a difficult time.

Inside this card, the thoughtful pop-up design provides a touching moment of joy and a visual reminder that they are in your thoughts and prayers.

All of the sentiments used on these cards are from the Mixed Media Labels Bundle, which coordinates beautifully with the paper as part of the Mixed Media Florals Collection. To finish each design, I added a touch of texture and shine using the Low-Profile Dots, also from the same collection.

Now let’s take a look at the second card. This card was created exactly the same way as the first, with one simple change—I used a different sentiment. That’s the beauty of this design—it’s so versatile! This card would make a lovely birthday card or a “just because” card for a friend.

Imagine opening your mailbox to find a handmade card with a thoughtful note tucked inside—what a wonderful surprise! These easy pop-up designs are sure to brighten someone’s day and let them know they’re loved and thought of.

This final card features a creative pop-up design where the pop-up element is actually part of the card front! It folds flat for mailing, but once opened, it stands beautifully—making it perfect for displaying on a shelf or desk.

To create this card, I used the coordinating Mixed Florals stamp set from the Mixed Media Florals Suite Collection. I stamped the floral image in Black Memento ink and colored it with Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, and Poppy Parade.

The backside of the pop-up card offers plenty of space for writing or stamping a message. I added a small floral image from the Mixed Florals stamp set in the corner and colored it to match using the same Blends.

This particular card was created after my video tutorial. I had already stamped and colored the flower image and didn’t want it to go to waste—so I created another one of these fabulous creative pop-up card designs to use up this image.  The only difference in this version is that I used the retired Sweet Sorbet Blend in place of Poppy Parade blends.

Now that it’s complete, I can’t decide which version I like better—the softer look or the more vibrant one. Which do you prefer?
