Fun Fold Card #1

A fun way to use the Countryside Inn Designer Paper and Countryside Corners bundle is by creating fun fold cards. These cards are perfect for adding an extra surprise and pop to your greeting cards. With just a few simple folds, you can transform a regular card into a creative masterpiece.

Card #1 is a super simple fun fold card that I’m sure you have all tried before I just decided to seal the front flaps down after adding the designer series paper.  This card card be used vertically or horizontally like I did with this card.  It is really just a matter of the sentiment die cut that you use which will determine what direction you would like your card to go in.

Card #2 Creative Ways to use the Countryside Corners Dies

If you’re looking to take your Countryside Inn Designer Paper to the next level, consider incorporating the Countryside Corners Dies into your card-making projects. These intricate dies can be used to create beautiful pop up sentiment pieces to add to your card fronts.

A fun idea is to use the countryside corners as frames for your sentiments or embellishments. Simply stamp the whole image and then use the various sizes of frame dies to cut out the “frame” image that you want to use on your card.  On this card I used the foam adhesive strips to pop up the frame and sentiment on this card front.

Card #3 Working that Braided Ribbon

This card was created similar to card #2 except I didn’t flip the top piece to the other side.  You can create this card either way both leaving you with a beautiful card that anyone would enjoy receiving.  The Misty Moonlight Braided Ribbon is the perfect touch to add to these 2 cards.

Card #4 Another Fun Fold Card with a Unique Way of using the Countryside Corners Dies

If you love the Z-Fold card you will love the spin on this one!  The fold on this card is your typical Z-Fold card however the way I used the Countryside Corners Dies on this card makes it a unique and fun way to use the dies and put a spin on the Z-Fold.

I used the Countryside Corners Dies to create a card that opens up.  This is super easy to create just make sure that one end of your die is not going to cut the folded section of your “card” when you run it through your cut & emboss machine; this will leave you with a fun shape card when you are done.  If you want more space to write a message or sign you can always use a larger die or add a piece of Basic White cardstock to the backside.

Card #5 and #6 Make Fun and Creative Cards with Leftover Paper Pieces

For both card #5 and card #6 I used leftover paper pieces from the 12 X 12 piece.  I also incorporated the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder on both of these cards.  This gives the background piece just a bit of dimension and texture.  I also think it adds to the beauty of the cards.

Card #5 is just a left over strip matted and attached to the card front.  Card #6 has the illusion that the designer paper runs down the full length of the card front, but it does not.  Just a little piece at the bottom and top with the sentiment piece in the center hides the fact that it is not one continuous piece.

Finally Card #7 is Another Fun Fold Card if you want to Just Leave or Send a Note

Card #7 does not open like a regular card, it just has a full size card base and the note portion is created on the front.  Just a little cut and fold and you have a super easy little note card on your card base.  You can make this card a full size card and still have a little secret message on the front or you could also add a piece of Basic White cardstock on the backside if you want to leave a longer message or sentiment.
