What do you do with the left-over pieces from your card kits  when you have all the cards created and you end up with left-over sentiment pieces? Well in Bill’s case he wanted to use them up on more cards, so that is just what he did. Here he is creating handmade cards with the leftover pieces from the Christmas Wishes kits collection.  I showed you his first set of Christmas cards on Monday and today I have the last 6 cards he created using the left-over sentiment pieces from this kit.

He basically went with the same layout as the cards on Monday except he changed the designer series paper and the direction of the cards.

Bill used the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper on these 6 cards and he also used the Stylish Shapes dies to create the larger circle pieces on these cards.

This was the design and layout for 4 of the 6 cards.  Bill had 5 of these banner sentiment pieces left-over from the Christmas Wishes Kits Collection and because of the size of the banner piece it worked better to turn the cards horizontally.    He also added the Gold Threaded bows and a few gold sequins to finish off the card fronts.

To add a bit more sparkle he used a glimmer circle piece on this card front.  Is is just me or do you have a shoebox of left-over project pieces?  When I create a card or project sometimes elements of that card don’t make it on the card, but I don’t want to discard the left-over pieces I took the time to stamp or die cut so I put them in a shoebox for another day.  Sometimes I will create a full card out of my shoebox left-over pieces.

His final card of the 6 cards he created with the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper was a mix of left-over sentiment pieces.  The Merry was a left-over piece from the Christmas Wishes Kits Collection and the Christmas sentiment was left-over shoebox piece.  This stamp and die are from the Peaceful Season Bundle.   This bundle is on the Last Chance List so if you like it; now is the time to grab it before it is gone for good.

I found it pretty interesting to watch Bill stamp and create these handmade cards.  I was really impressed by how meticulous he was with the positioning of the cardstock as well as placement of his bows and sequins.  He has his own flare and style, which is great.  He even admitted to our kids that he thought it was fun and something different to do.  I still haven’t gotten him to create a video yet, but I’m working on it, maybe during the holiday’s.  Stay tuned!
