When I talked about this stamp set during my Live Event I couldn’t figure out why it only had 2 flower blossoms and 3 looked to me steams.

Well I received an email the next day from Jean Fitch who explained this flower to me. I found it very interesting so I thought I would share the information with you.

That image is of a California Poppy (the one with feathery/lacy looking “leaves”). It’s the state flower of California.
Here’s a good image that shows the flower and that stem like piece that almost seems as if it should have a flower on it.

Both have that sword extension. I’m not really sure of it’s function but every plant I’ve had has had something like it.

I thought that was very interesting and explained a lot to me.

So after looking at the pictures that Jean sent me I made up my sample and two toned my flowers just like the ones in the picture. I used Daffodil Delight and Watermelon Wonder together to get the color combination I wanted.

I used the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Lots of Labels Framelits.

Great card for any occasion.
