Happy New Year or Happy Birthday either Way this Fun Fold Explosion Card is the perfect way to start off the New Year 2021! I’ve used a few different stamp sets on these cards but it really is a quick and easy fun fold that is sure to leave a WOW!

It just so happens to be my Son-in-Laws birthday today so after creating the Happy New Year card I decided to create a Happy Birthday card for him in the video.  I also have a surprise at the end of the video; someone came to see me and spend the night.

For the Happy New Year Explosion Card I used the So Much Happy Bundle and the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set with the Playful Alphabet Dies.   

The only stamp set I had that had a Happy New Year sentiment in it was the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set which also had the words Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.  To omit the words “Merry Christmas and a Happy”; I used a sticky note to cover them up while I inked up New Year with Misty Moonlight ink.  I pulled the sticky notes off before I stamped onto a strip of Whisper White then I just used my scissors to cut the end off on an angle.

I used the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas to stamp From Our House to Yours and added a few balloons.

For the Happy Birthday Explosion card I used the So Much Happy Bundle and for the inside sentiment the Best Year stamp set.

I used the Classsic Christmas 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper for the inside of these explosion cards; so it is not just for Christmas you can use it for New Years cards or Birthday cards.  This paper pack is going to be gone for good January 5th so don’t delay get your pack today!
