Last night on my YouTube Channel I showed how to create these four fabulous One Sheet Wonder Cards using the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper. Two of the cards are fun fold cards with a spot to place a gift card, one is a regular card and one is a notecard.   As I stated during the class if you wanted to; you could make 12 cards from just one 12 X 12 sheet.  If you didn’t want to create the fun fold gift card holder cards you could just create the single card and that’s how you would get 12 cards.  Cut your 12 X 12 cardstock in strips of 3″ X 12″ and then cut those strips into 3″ X 4″ and you would have 12 pieces that measured 3″ X 4″.

This week I’ve featured quick and easy Christmas Cards with the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper pack.   This paper pack coordinates with the Beary Cute Bundle and the Merriest Trees Dies.   The Beary Cute bundle has the bear punch that coordinates with some of the bears in the paper pack and the Merriest Trees dies coordinate with some of the trees in the paper pack.  On today’s cards I used the Sentiment from the Beary Cute stamp set and used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut out the sentiment and create the banner underneath the sentiment piece.  Both the Beary Cute punch and the Merriest Trees Dies are not available to order at this time.  They are expected to be back into the warehouse the week of November 6th.  Also the Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper is on LOW Inventory, so grab your pack or packs today before they are sold out!

Now let’s dive into the first Two Fun Fold Cards/Gift Card Holders:

Both of the fun fold cards/gift card holders are created the exact same way and use a piece of the designer series paper that is 4 1/2″ X 11″ on the inside.  The front section is the 3″ X 4″ and this is the portion that I said you could create 12 cards just like this that were regular cards.   So instead of posting card #3 with instructions and information you would create it just like this one shows on the front and the inside would be a piece of 4″ X 5 1/4″ basic white cardstock.   I do have the Project Sheet Download with the One Sheet Wonder Pattern down below in this article.

To create the wintery scene behind my Christmas tree paper I used the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder.  This folder can be found in the mini catalog.  The sentiment and banner piece were cut using the Stylish Shapes dies and the sentiment is part of the Beary Cute stamp set.

On the inside of the two fun fold cards you will find a scene which I created with the stamps, designer paper and cardstock as well as your slot for your gift card holder or cash.

The scene starts out with Papa Bear checking out your spot to stamp or write a note to the recipient.  The bear was stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock and then I used the coordinating Beary Cute punch to punch out Papa bear.  The scarf and tree’s were all stamped and then I hand cut them out.

The next scene is Mama Bear making sure her little cub is coming her way.  For mama and cub I stamped them using Early Espresso on Crumb Cake cardstock and then hand cut them out.  The sentiment Christmas is better together finished off my scene as it is always better to be together with family and friends during the holidays.  You can see the little pocket where you would slip in your gift card or some cash.

So, you would create the first two cards this same way using the first two strips that I cut off the designer series paper.  Card #3 is identical to these card fronts it is just not a fun fold card or gift card holder.  Which One Sheet Wonder cards layout will you use?

Card #4 A Simple Notecard

What do you do with those little triangular pieces you cut off to create the slot for the gift card holders on the fun fold cards?  Well you create a super cute notecard and envelope.  These little notecards can be slipped inside a gift bag or dropped off with a plate of cookies or goodies to teachers, neighbors, bus drivers, anyone who you might want to give a little something to this upcoming holiday season.

Notecards are perfect for when you just want to write a little something to someone or just leave them a note.
