Above card features the Bird Ballad Designer Series paper, Free as a Bird stamp set, and the 3/8″ Scalloped Lace trim.   We did this card as a make and take at On Stage in San Antonio, TX.

The bird stamped image on this card was colored in with the Daffodil Delight Blends, Old Olive Blends, Calypso Coral Blends and the Crumb Cake Blends.

All the prints in the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper are so beautiful and work great with the images in the Free as a Bird stamp set.

The gorgeous 3/8′ Scalloped Lace trim is vintage looking and goes perfectly with the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.   I think the softness of the prints and the Bird stamp set can be used for multiple occasions.

Instructions:

Measurements for the card base Pool Party is 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ and folded in half to create your card and the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper on the front was 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ covering the whole front of the card.

Stamp and color in the Bird image and attach to the Designer Series Paper as shown and then add the ribbon and tie in a bow on the front.  Once you have completed the whole card front you can then attach it to the card base.  This way you will cover up the ribbon that you wrapped around the Designer Series Paper.

Tip:  If you want your bow to lay flat on the card attach a mini glue to behind the bow to secure it in place and straight on your card.  Sometimes I will do this and other times I like that whimsy look to the ribbon and bows.

Need some 3D projects or gift boxes and bags?  Check out all the samples on page 90 in the catalog.

Did you also see the tip on page 91 regarding the images that you stamp from the stamp set?  You can color in the stamped images with the Stampin’ Blends (p. 179) to coordinate with the Designer Series Paper.
