The Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set makes a great masculine Birthday card.  My dad will be turning 86 here very soon so I think he will really like this birthday card.  He just sold his cottage on the lake last year; so this will be a bit of a reminder of our summers at the cottage.

The Sailing Home Stamp Set is part of the Come Sail Away Suite; which I’ve been showing a few things with.  Stay tuned because next month there are more beautiful samples with this suite of products.

Suite Contains:

The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set which also has some inside sentiments as well.  It is nice to have a stamp set that is all Birthday sentiments for inside the cards and the outside of the cards.

Can you see the shimmer on the lighthouse?  Yes, I did it again; I colored over the stamped lighthouse with the Clear Wink of Stella pen.

I used the Layering Ovals to die cut out the center of the Crumb Cake card stock and popped this up on the front of the card.  I stamped the Lighthouse in the center of the opening before securing the Crumb Cake panel to the top.

The outside of the Crumb Cake panel and the inside of the Oval were sponged with the Night of Navy ink.

You may also notice there are 4 birds on the one side of the lighthouse and the stamp only has 3 birds on the stamp.  Well I smudged some Night of Navy ink; so the smudge turned into a 4th bird.  For the 2 birds on the opposite side I inked the stamp and rubbed off the ink from the 3rd bird.
