I love to look at a sketch and then see what stamp set comes to mind when I look at it.  Do you do the same thing or it that just me?  I don’t know what it is about sketches but it sure helps me to get thinking about the different stamp sets, occasions and what I think my finished card will look like.  Maybe that’s why I like sketches it takes the guess work out of the card layout for me.

I thought the Woodland embossing folder was the perfect background for this card.  To bring out the trees on the embossed Crumb Cake card stock I decided to go with a sponge dauber and lightly dauber on the Early Espresso ink.  Boy does that make the trees and branches pop!

After sponging my trees I decided I also needed to sponge around the outside edge of my Very Vanilla stamped trees piece to tie it all in.  Feeling that it still needed a little something I added the Gold Metallic pearls.
