Are you ready to create some gorgeous fall cards with today’s stamping techniques, embossing folders and Stampin’ Blends.   Go grab your embossing folders and let’s get started.  This is a super easy technique, but one we often forget about.  This month in my Team Meeting I focused on Embossing Folder techniques and it was an eye opener going through my past videos looking for techniques using embossing folders.  I must say I was pretty surprised to find 14 different techniques using embossing folders.   I’ll be showcasing these different techniques for a few weeks.

To create this beautiful fall piece I started with the Changing Leaves Bundle and embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I then grabbed a few different Stampin’ Blends and began to color in the raised images.   If you love coloring this technique might be right up your alley.

What are the colors of blends that I used on my sample?  I pulled out my Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, and Cajun Craze Blends and went to town.   What colors would you choose for your leaves?

After I colored in my raised embossed imagines it was time to cut it up.   I liked that I had a whole 6 x 6 colored piece to work with and cut where I liked it best.  I then matted it onto a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the final card base is Real Red.  A very bright and beautiful card for this time of the year.

The sentiment piece is from the Autumn Expressions Bundle, which is part of my Stamp Camp at Home Card Club kit for this month.  It thought it was the perfect sentiment and die for my card.  Have you ever tried this stamping techniques before?  If not, you might just like it.

The faux glass dots are the perfect accent piece for my card front.

Because I colored such a large piece of cardstock and only used 4″ X 5 1/4″ on my card front I had extra left over to attach to the inside of my card.   This was a great way to carry the colored leaves into the inside of the card without having to stamp and color the leaves on the inside.
