This super cute flock of chick’s is part of the Birds of a Feather stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  I love the sentiment in this stamp set and I just had to create a little flock of chicks to go with the sentiment.

How did I get them all in a row; you ask?  This is the Masking technique.  I stamped the chick on a sticky note and then hand cut him out.  I then started on the very right hand side of the Whisper White card stock and stamped the first chick.  Then I masked that chick with the sticky note chick and stamped the second chick.  I repeated this step for all the chicks to create my flock.

I colored all the chicks with the Blends.  The Blends I used were Balmy Blue, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie.

I also added a little Snowfall Accent Puff Paint to the hats and created a little mound of snow at their feet.  Before puffing the paint with the heat tool I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to give it sparkle.

The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White card stock and then die cut out with the Layering Ovals; which is also what I used to create the Real Red Scallop Oval.

I think this card would be pretty cool too if you wrote the names of each family member on the hat.
