Wilderness Awaits Watercolor
Last Thursday was my team meeting and Sara taught us how to watercolor using the Aqua painter.

If you’ve been following my blog for very long you know I am not a Watercolorist and I have a hard time with any of the outline stamps and coloring them in.

Sara showed us how to use the Aqua painter and take the ink from the lid of the ink pads and apply the color to the stamped images.

The duck from the Wilderness Awaits stamp set was stamped onto the Watercolor paper and colored in with Garden Green, Pair Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist and Soft Sky.

Here is what I learned:
– When it is wet it appears much darker than you think.
– Darker is better because it will dry much lighter.
– A dryer Aqua painter is better.
– You can pick unwanted color up by adding a little water and blotting it with a paper towel.
– By wetting areas first and then adding a little color will help the colors to spread and blend easier.

I think that covers most of the tips I picked up on. I also think with more practice that I could like watercoloring and possibly do more with it.

I used the Hardwood background stamp on Very Vanilla and attached to my Early Espresso card.

The Very Vanilla twine was tied around and the ends were frayed.
