In case you were wondering where I’ve been I thought I would show you.

My husband and I flew to California to watch our middle son Neil graduate from the Marine Corps bootcamp. We also took Neil’s girlfriend Kim with us to watch him graduate.

This was taken on Family Day; which was the day before graduation.

This was also taken on Family Day; it was so nice to see him again after 3 month’s of being gone from home.

There’s my new Marine; so proud and happy he made it through.

He flew home with us Saturday night and will be home for 10 days before he leaves again.

When we arrived home Dean, our son-in-law and a couple of Neil’s friends were waiting for us at the airport with posters and signs.

My son-in-law went into my Stampin’ Up! room and found some Cherry Cobbler cardstock and stapled it to a foam board and then painted his welcome home greeting on it.

To You & Yours Shaker Card Left Overs
Can you spot where I recycled the Circle from the To You & Yours Shaker card kit?

Yes, it is under the flower.

I made the flower using the Fun Flower punch and the Petite Petals Punch.

I used the 1/4″ handheld punch and the Black Glimmer paper to make the flower center.

The sentiment is from the coordinating To You & Yours Too stamp set.

The DSP is actually vellum from the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum pack.

So pretty!

Now that makes 18 cards from the kit and 14 cards made with left over die cuts. You can’t beat that deal!

I’m hoping to have a Tuesday’s Tips & Techniques video for you next week. I was going to do one this week but I’ve got a bad chest cold and my voice isn’t very good; at least not good enough to make a video. You’d be saying what did she say; its bad and sad. 🙁 I sound like a old bull frog; hahahaha

The To You & Yours Shaker Card Kit is in the Holiday Catalog and it is on the Retired Stamp Set list.
Here is the kit cards:

The coordinating stamp set is also on the Holiday Catalog Retired list.
