Beauty Blooms & Floating Liquid Colors

I had so much fun with yesterday’s technique that I had to create another card using the Floating Liquid Colors technique.

This time I chose the Beauty Blooms stamp set.

I used the same Liquid Colors the Candy Apple, Lemon Drop and Limeade Splash.

I also used the Specialty Papers Pearled Basics Whip Cream sheet.

I used the corrugated embossing folder on Citrus Cooler card stock and then rubbed the Citrus Cooler ink pad over the top to bring out the corrugated image.

I matted it onto the Candy Apple card stock.

The Twine is the Candy Apple Twine and I just added a few Pearls to finish it off.

Okay are you sick of this stamp set yet? I know I’m not! This is day 3 of my Beauty Blooms stamp set.

I actually have limited supplies at the cottage so this has been a little bit of a challenge for me to come up with different looking cards using the stamp set and minimal inks and supplies but I like them all!

Here’s my trio if you have missed my blog post lately:

Today’s card I used the new Corrugated Embossing Folder and rubbed over the top of it using Oatmeal Cookie ink. This brings out the corrugated texture and adds a little distressed look and feel to the card.

I added a little Citrus Cooler Silk to the corrugated background.

I tied the Citrus Cooler Ribbon in the front.

The flowers were stamped on Summer Days card stock and then centers were daubered with a little Citrus Cooler ink. I hand cut them out and popped them up on a the Whip Cream card stock that was stamped using Fresh Forest ink.

To finish it off I added a little pearl to the flower centers.

This is the gorgeous Beauty Bloom stamp set part of the Mystic Romance Collection. All the stamp sets in the Mystic Romance collection have the look and feel of Embroidered images.

This is the first time I used this stamp set and “Oh My Goodness; I love it!”

I used the Summer Days and the Citrus Cooler ink pads and the Sponge Dauber to create circles of colors onto a piece of Whip Cream card stock. After I got the colors I wanted I stamped over the colored circles using the Beauty Bloom stamp and the Black Licorice ink pad. The flowers are so bright and pretty in person the picture just doesn’t do it justice.

I cleaned the stamp and then stamped it on a piece of Whip Cream card stock using the Lemon Grass Ink pad.

This was layered on a piece of Black Licorice card stock.

I hand cut out the stamped flowers and popped them up on the Lemon Grass ones using the Journey Foam Squares.

The Sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on Whip Cream card stock using Black Licorice ink and hand cut out.

The card base is Whip Cream and cut 4 1/4″ X 11 and folded in half. I then tied a piece of the Black Gingham ribbon around and tied in the front.

In the side view you can see the dimension of the flowers.
