I want to wish you all a very Happy 4th of July!

I’m so excited to be spending the 4th with my middle son Neil. He is stationed at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina and just returned from Scotland.

Today’s card is the perfect 4th of July Celebration Card. It can be an invitation, a birthday, or Thank You!

The Striped background was created by using the Striped Wall background stamp and inking each stripe with the Red and then the Huckleberry inks. I used the New Small Dauber Dowels to ink up each stripe line.

The Stars were die cut out using the Star-Dom bundle and the Candy Apple, Huckleberry Fusion and Whip Cream card stock.

The Sentiment is from the Annual Celebrations stamp set.

To finish off the card I sprinkled on some Sparkle Silk and added some Rhinestones.

Time to start thinking of your 4th of July celebrations and get a start on your invitations or cards.

You may recognize this card as I did it before in Red and Black for a Graduation card; just change up the colors and the sentiment and now you have a 4th of July card!

The sentiment is from the Beautiful America stamp set. The stars are from the Star Bright stamp set.

Here’s the Graduation card again so you can see the similarities:

I just changed up the colors, added the Sparkle Silk instead of the Silver Silk, used the new Summer Burst Buttons which have a sparkle to them as well and the Summer Play Sparkles instead of Rhinestones.

Here’s your shopping list for today’s card:

Click on the supplies you need and it will bring you to my website; add your items to your shopping cart and check out. So Simple!

To receive the PDF file for this month’s project all you need to do is place a min. $25.00 order and I’ll send you the unlock code for the PDF file and video.

If you place a min. $75.00 order this month I’ll send you the New Annual Catalog (ordering will begin July 1st) and the unlock code for this month’s project. I’ll mail you your copy of the catalog as soon as I get them.

Swirly Bird Red White & Blue
Happy 4th of July to you and your families!

We are having a very nice time at the cottage with the kids, my parents and my sister and her family.

Today’s card was done using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits die and the star is from the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits die.

A super simple card made using just thinlits and no stamping required.

We were happy to be able to talk with Neil yesterday; and find out how he’s been doing at combat training in San Diego, CA.

So we got to talk with Neil and spend time with the rest of the kids so it was a good day.

To receive this month’s Video and PDF file for the Sweet Cupcake Project place a min. $50.00 order and use this Hostess Code: PNB9DUTJ

Please Remember to use the Hostess Code unless your order is over $150.00 then you are your own hostess and you will receive the hostess benefits. You will automatically receive the Video and PDF file.

This month’s project box is so cute and has 4 coordinating cards and envelopes! The video will show you how to create the box, the shaker card as well as some tips for the project. The PDF file will have all the dimensions for the box as well as dimensions and step by step instructions for the cards.

We are back in Michigan. We arrived to the cottage around 8PM last night and now we are spending some time with my parents and my sister and her family. There were lots of fireworks going off all over the lake last night; a beautiful show.

I told you I would show you some of the pictures from the Washington DC trip so here they are.

Bill and Dean went to the Holocaust Museum and I went and did a little site seeing.

It was a beautiful day; it was HOT but there was a nice breeze so that made it even nicer. We had planned on staying in Washington DC but then it started to really rain and the hotels filled up fast so we drove for a while.

So now we are back in Michigan; much cooler here.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Today’s card was done using the sketch challenge at the Red Hot Stampers sketch challenge blog.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:
Oh Happy 4th

Looking at this sketch made me think of the 4th of July. After looking through the Stampin’ Up! catalog I decided to go with the Starburst Sayings stamp set and turn the Oh, Happy Day into Oh, Happy 4th!

The stars were made using the new Stars Framelits.

Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day!
