Fun Stampers Journey, glendasblog, the stamp camp
I’ve had people ask me how my room is set up and if they could see it. Well since my roof is being redone on the house I decided to do a little clean up in my room. It’s a work in progress so you won’t be seeing the whole room but for now my little section where the video taping will begin; SOON!
Fun Stampers Journey, glendasblog, the stamp camp
You can see all the camera’s and lights I have going on. It really is hard to get the right lighting; I’m still not happy with it.

I’m really liking how my wall of stamping supplies is looking so pretty with all the gorgeous colors!

You are probably used to seeing my stamping closet in the videos but after convention I decided to turn my tables the other way so my background is now a wall of fun!

The only problem is when I’m sitting you don’t see much of my wall because I’m actually sitting lower than the start of my wall of fun.

It’s been fun getting it all set up. I promise I’ll be back video taping soon; just have to finish the house roof and the barn roof and then all the pounding of the nail guns will be gone and a stable internet will be back.

In the mean time you only have a few days left to purchase those retiring items! Get them soon!

Tomorrow is Bill and my 38th Wedding Anniversary; so make sure to check my blog tomorrow for a surprise!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today I want to Thank all of our Hero’s out there who have served or are serving our country!

I myself have a couple of Hero’s in my book; my son-in-law Zach and my son Neil.

Zach just recently got out of the Marines after 8 years of service in infantry. Zach is married to my daughter Nicole and they have a little 8 month old Sophia.

My son Neil in also in the Marines and he is in intelligence.

We are very proud of our 2 Marines and what they have done and are doing for our country.

For today’s card I used the bundle “Our Hero” which I thought was fitting for today.

I really like the sentiment in this stamp set and had to have it on the front of my card.

It reads:
Let us pray for our brothers and sisters as they go forth with courage and determination to face the forces of violence, weapons, of destruction and hearts filled with hate.

I embossed the soldier on Green Olive card stock using clear pigment ink and black embossing powder as well as the sentiment.

The tags were embossed on Brush Silver card stock and hand cut out.

The Brush Silver background was embossed with Stars. I created this embossing template using die cut stars and a piece of card stock.

You can watch the video below on this technique:

Once again Thank You to all those who have served or are serving our country; much appreciated!

Blessings to you and your families!

This past week was a difficult week for my family and friends. We all said our goodbyes to our Mother and Friend. We are so happy she is finally at peace and in the arms of God. Saying goodbye is never easy and I think it is the hardest for those left behind.

I was reminded yesterday as I was creating some cards for this week that although my Mother is no longer here with me she is definitely with me in spirit.

I placed an order for the “Faith Journey Prints” and the coordinating “God is Light”, “Through the Storm” and the “Trust The Lord” stamp sets when I saw them on the April Special at 35% off. They had been on my wish list but I never seemed to get them ordered.

When my ordered arrived we were in the midst of hospice and everything going on so I told my son Dean to bring the box down to my stamp room; I would open it later.

Well yesterday was that day. Wow, when I opened up my stamp sets and read each one I was so GLAD I ordered all three of these stamp sets! Each set has a special meaning to me now more than ever. I knew right away I had to create some cards with these stamp sets and the coordinating “Faith Journey Prints”.

I have to tell you when our Pastor was visiting my Mom in hospice he asked her what her favorite Bible verse was and she said; John 11:35 “Jesus Wept” only because it was the shortest verse; going to a Christian School we had to memorize Bible Verses all the time so the shorter the better. Hahaha! She then said her favorite was Psalm 23 “The Lord is My Shepard”. We all had to memorize this Bible verse and I remember helping my kids to memorize it and it is my favorite and most remembered verse as well.

When I opened up the “Faith Journey Prints” and was looking at these gorgeous prints the last print in the package was this:

Psalm 23 “The Lord is My Shepard”. It brought tears to my eyes as this was my Mother’s favorite verse and I knew she was with me. I hadn’t paid much attention to this printed package in the catalog I just knew it coordinated with the stamp sets.

I wish I had opened up this package before the funeral as this print is so beautiful I would have framed it and had it out during the visitation. It is now going in a photo album all about Mom and Grandma.

I also had to create a card using this print and the “God is Light” stamp set.

“Wow” Right?
I’m so in love with this paper pack and these stamp sets and I know my Mom was with me as she helped me to crank out quite a few cards yesterday. You will be seeing them all this week.

Who would have thought a stamp set and some printed papers could lift me up so much!

Get today’s Stamp Set and Printed Paper Pack at 35% off! Yes, you did read that correctly 35% off 4 Great Collections; Be Amazing, Celebrate You, Faith Journey, Slice of Life Collections.

Update on Mom

Update on my Mother – I’ve been receiving a few emails asking how my Mother is doing. If you have been following my blog for the last 8 years or so then you may recall that my Mom has been on dialysis for about the past 8 years. Recently she had to have her foot amputated and it didn’t heal so the next step was her leg and then they also said the other one as well. She had been in so much pain and dialysis wasn’t going very well for her so she made the decision to quit dialysis last Thursday. She passed yesterday morning peacefully in her sleep to go to her home in heaven. We all had a chance to say our goodbyes which was a blessing. We are all thankful she is no longer in any pain and is at peace at last.

Here’s one of the many memories I have of my Mom.

My Mom and Dad would always come to my home for Thanksgiving and after our meal my Mom enjoyed making cards with me. She was always sending out cards to people at church for birthday’s or anniversaries. If you knew my Mom you knew you were getting a card.

She was a very special lady and will be missed a TON!

I won’t be posting for a few days while my family and I take some time to grieve and take care of my dad.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support; much appreciated!
